Color Ways: MoonRise

Top row, from left: Cunning, Masquerade, Chilling, Fantasy, Mysterious, Masquerade
Bottom row, from left: Phantasm, Magnolia, Superstition, Macabre, Spirit, Wicked

Have you seen the new collection from Tula Pink? It’s called De La Luna and it is divine. Motifs of sugar skulls, adorable bats, all-seeing eyes, Death’s Head Moths… and designed in a color palette of magenta, turquoise, jade, and apple green that is so expertly combined.

Colorful Eclectic was inspired to create a whole collection - 12 colorways - to celebrate fall in a fabulous, eerie way.  We're calling it The MoonRise Collection.

A quick reminder: the MoonRise Collection is available for pre-order as part of a kit that I’ve put together with some of my crafty friends. Check the bottom of this post for all the details!

All of the colorways of the MoonRise Collection have been designed to work together. There are so many multi-colored knitting patterns out there that would showcase the MoonRise Collection, but here are some of my favorites:

Marettimo by Caitlin Hunter

The waning days of summer can still bring the heat, which is why I love the idea of the Marettimo. It’s a 3-color tee that uses one color for the body and 2 colors for the lace panels. I would keep the main color pretty neutral with Macabre, but really punch up the lace with Apparition and Cunning.

Color Affection by Veera Välimäki
The simple graphic lines of the Color Affection shawl are begging for a fun mix of colors! I would use just one speckle, Fantasy, alongslide tonals Superstition and Wicked in this shawl for maximum effect.

Radiate by Joji Locatelli

I had to look forward a little to see myself knitting a DK Sweater, but once I did, the inspiration was flowing! I think this simple yoked pullover would be a great way to experiment with bold colors Masquerade and Spirit.

and… finally… the pièce de résistance...

What the Fade?! by Andrea Mowry

I couldn’t resist a faded shawl using all the speckled colorways of the MoonRise Collection. This squooshy brioche shawl from the fade queen herself, Andrea Mowry, would be a glorious way to keep warm this Halloween!
